Bruny Island Cruises

The original multi-award winning Bruny Island eco-cruise featured on Getaway in November 2009.  The custom designed “yellow boats” are ideal for exploring Bruny Island’s sea cliffs, sea stacks, caves and seal haul-out. 

Be taken up close and personal with the coastal wilderness and its inhabitants. Soar through the narrow gap between the coast and The Monument, a now famous sea stack.  Coast in and out of the coastlines caves and get up close to the Australian Fur Seal Haul-out at The Friars and watch their playful antics.

The three hour cruise departs from Adventure Bay, Bruny Island, daily all year round, except Christmas Day.  Drive yourself to the departure point, be picked up by our bus from Kettering or take the Full Day Tour from Hobart including return bus tour, morning tea, lunch and the three hour cruise.

Tasman Island Cruises

Another award winning cruise experience brought to you by Pennicott Wilderness Journeys.  Winner of Tasmania’s Best New Product Development for 2008 featured on Getaway in February 2008 this relatively new business is fast becoming the talk of Tasmanian tourism experiences. 

Using the businesses famous custom designed “yellow boats” the cruise explores the extraordinary Tasman Peninsula coastline between Port Arthur and Eaglehawk Neck.  Featuring the highest sea cliffs in the Southern Hemisphere, Tasman Island - a famous landmark and turning point for Sydney to Hobart yachtspersons and the totem pole, a sea stack frequently the focus of adrenalin seeking rock climbers. 

With the continental shelf running so close to Tasman Island, brining an upwelling of nutrients and creating a smorgasbord for the sea and coastal wildlife, it’s no surprise that you will observe rich wildlife such as seal haul-outs, commonly occurring large pods of dolphins, migrating whales, seabirds and birds of prey.
